Dr. Steven W. Bruno, B.S.,D.C .... is director of the Healing Arts Centers. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and later graduated from the National College of Chiropractic with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1979. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In addition, Dr. Bruno has a certificate in Clinical Nutrition and Meridian Therapy-Acupuncture from the National College of Chiropractic. His interest in Meridian Therapy and Acupuncture led to his participation and involvement in the Acupuncture Research conducted by Dr. John C.A. Chin at the National College for the treatment of addiction disorders. Dr. Bruno is licensed in New York and Connecticut. He received post-graduate certification for the performance of Impairment Ratings based on the A.M.A. Guidelines through the New York Chiropractic College and qualified and earned his certification as a New York State Chiropractic Association Certified Insurance Consultant in 1990. Since the early 1990's, Dr. Bruno has been certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. The N.C.Q.A. is an independent organization that evaluates the quality of care and services rendered by practitioners and whether they meet or exceed the rigorous requirements and standards of the organization. It is a system designed not only for consumer protection, but for quality assessment, regulation and improvement. Dr. Bruno continues to expand his academic and clinical experience by attending post-graduate seminars throughout the year. In his more recent past he has attended seminars on The Biomechanics of the Lower Limb and Spine, Chiropractic Rehabilitation and Stress to the Human Skeleton: A Chiropractic and Diagnostic Imaging Perspective. He has attended seminars on Contact Reflex Analysis & Designed Clinical Nutrition, and Functional Assessment for the Clinical Nutrition Practice. Dr. Bruno is a past member and officer of the Putnam Valley Rotary Club and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
